As much as I wanna hear the new album, I'm still going to wait for the release date and BUY the album like it should be.

That was quite nifty. Also, I couldn't send video, as my camera doesn't have a recording option :( I hope the photo of my deed was sufficient. (I was the one who was donating clothes to a shelter).

I wanted to spread the love that is the new album, but my friend decided he'd rather be moral and wait until he came home from school and it was out.
Every time I even listen to it, I try to do something good for someone. Why advertise good deeds on something as public as the internet though? Isn't that actually bad karma?
Well, I don't have any video because...well, I just don't. But I did hand out valentines day pinwheels to the mentally handicapped students in my school and couple of kids around campus. Can I still send photos?

That was so cool. I wish I could come up with something as clever.
I feel like a terrible person for getting the album early. I have a friend that happens to be a fierce pirate of the internet and got hold of it way before you posted. :/ I needed to confess that to you just to get it off my chest because I did feel pretty guilty about it, even as I swayed and head banged helplessly to the new catchy riffs and choruses. It's a really good album though, fantastic if I do say so myself. Clouds crash is beautiful, purely beautiful and poetic and the cleaned up version of to build a mountain was refreshing and profound. Yankee In A Chip Shop is so danceable I lose complete conscious control of my body every time I play it. Perfection In Deed, I think.
I plan to buy the new album through pre-order to make up for my crime against my favorite band. I really love you guys, and I'm weak when it comes to unheard music that I've been dying to hear for a very long time. I think I'm going to come up with a good karma video too with my pirate friend.
I promise that if my other friends that have the album now do not buy the cd I will buy 5 per person to make up for it and then some. It's totally worth spending money I don't have. :] Have a good day.

this has completely nothing to do with anything but i saw you at the sydney soundwave festival and i was the one that had the matches shirt and waved you over to me before the show. i forgot to tell you at the time that i downloaded the album and it is fantastic and i made a video and sent it in (and i hope it worked) but that i am still planning to buy the cd when it comes out too.
Kudos to you guys! It's really amazing that even though your CD is out there already, people are still going to buy the real disk AND you're getting people to do good deeds!

after searching for e. von dahl for about a year (no one in melbourne sells in...damn aussies) i finally found it in hmv and convinced my mum to buy it for me as a birthday present, but she won't let me listen to it till then!
so for now i'm contenting myself with downloading as much of a band in hope as i can (but of course i'm going to buy the album as soon as it comes out).
and please please PLEASE shawn, i've told you this already and i know that you can't hepl it, but can you TRY and play a sideshow in melbourne that isn't overage? or at least come back when i'm 18?

I can't imagine it being hard to get passed a venue security guard. I think at the last Aus. tour the shows weren't even at actual venues, just community centers and stuff like that. Chances are you can get in no problem. Unless, you look like a 10 year old.
