Mother Effervescent

I just really wanted to use that title. Something nasty is going around though, so drink your airborne and wear your government issue health masks if you are forced into "face-time" with an associate.
What am I reading? Brave New World.
What am I looking for? Some ear buds for to hear my Biffy Clyro better with.
What did I find while searching the net for ear buds? Glad you ask.

Bear in mind that this is a legitimate website which sells ear buds and technical gadgets, and aside from this one product, I couldn't find another joke on the site. Got my business.

Oh Aldous Huxley. I enjoyed that novel in the only twisted sort of way that a person can. Also, I'm not sure what disturbs me more about that picture, the stilts for the lion, or the fact that they are developing inline skates for the giraffe.

oh that would be a great circus act

lion on stilts vs clown on stilts
giraffe in skates vs lion on stilts
giraffe in skates vs clown on stilts

this is sounding more like gladiator games than a circus i guess
oh well

What am I reading? in between books. Maybe I should check yours out.
What am I looking for? Nothing. But I am wondering if it is in fact possible for lions to walk on stilts. Note to self, look into that. What a site. (by the way, thank you for getting me listening to biffy clyro by insisting that everyone at your show at montreal warped needed to stay after you guys finished to listen to them. They're one of my favorite bands right now, thanks to you guys).

By the way, I'm wondering who would win.

The giraffe on inline skates or the lion on stilts.

Well, aren't there ANY store nearby that might sell such buds? Maybe a best buy? Or a well-placed drug store? And I've already pre-ordered inline skates for my giraffe. Poor thing had to actually WALK to the park, now he blades in style. 0-5mph in less that 8 mins.

My money is on the giraffe, but only until the lion masters the stilts. Or until the giraffes skates over a rock and trips.

Mabey I should just save my money...

Those stilts are fantastic.

I'm in the middle of Brave New World. I was jealous of everyone who got to read it in high school and found an old copy with oxidized pages in the basement. It's perfect.

Too late. I'm already sick.

I think I inhaled too much dust at warped tour, and I've been coughing ever since. So I'm assuming it gave me a lung infection or something, and it went away by itself, but it's still irritated.

Now on top of that, I have this damn virus that's been going around. Stay healthy shawn.

Really? You're reading Brave New World? That's really cool. I read that book last year in senior English.I enjoyed it. although it's really unnerving to think that what happened in BNW is actually quite a possibility in the future. I'd love to hear your thoughts on the book once you've finished it.

I love the title. =^]
Thanks for the warning.
Is Brave New World good? I'm reading Day by Elie Wiesel, almost done, and it's no where near as good as the first book in the trilogy.
I'm looking for pictures so I don't have to draw... because people have to ask me what my stick figures mean.
...very wonderful invention. I think I'll buy 20.
I love technology. =^]

It took me almost three minutes to figure out why you were so anxious to use that title.

You seem to always be battling either sunburns, the rhinovirus, or a combination of the two. At least always talking about it, well nothing wrong with a little self promotion or product placement, if you can call it that.

Also, lions do hunt on stilts. It's true, I looked it up on wikipedia, and as we all know, wikipeda never lies.

This blog and these comments made me go look up Biffy Clyro and I have to admit that they are pretty amazing. Haven't ever read Brave New World, maybe after I'm done with the book I'm currently reading I'll pick it up.

I think it's sad how much the blog inspires me to do things. haa

Aldous Huxley is one of my favorite authors of all time. Brave New World was the first book of his that I read. His books illustrate the extremes that the media culture and government can impose upon a society. You should read Island or After Many A Summer. Both great reads. Moving along, stilts for lions and inline skates for giraffes? Got a huge laugh out of that.
