Just returned home from a long gypsy summer, where among fleeting things like sunburns and bronchitus, we found these images of permanence. Very honored.

Very glad to have the feeling of fresh air back home. It's always amusing, or comforting to walk outside and realize that...
It really must be amazing to see the kind of impact you've had on some, and in the flesh. Though, most don't usually realize that the face isn't going anywhere, not in saying that it should anyway.
And I'm pretty sure it's 'bronchitis', by the way. Lookin' forward to that thread. :)

i suppose there is no place like home. those tattoos area amazing. if i ever get a tattoo it will say "you belong". its hard to fully understand how two little words can mean so much to a person. i guess what im trying to say is thank you, i hope everyone is feeling better and im glad you are home.

A year or two ago, when your impact on my life was at it's first zenith (not that it ever dipped to a trough, it always maintained an importance), I allowed my friend to tattoo my chest.
Looking back now, I wish I had got it done professionally as my friend was a mere budding tattooist at the time and I must say the amateurism shows. However, I feel that my eagerness to have the Audio Blood themed tattoo at the time was so great that I felt I would do anything for it, even if that meant allowing my friend to experiment.
So ultimately, it's not an amazing tatt, but the dedication that went into getting it is somewhat impressive if I do say so myself, even if it did turn out looking unprofessional.
Ah well, remind me to show you next time I see you, because I'm not putting it up on the boards un-fixed!
Seeing all those tattoos and how much your music has affected people must be a truly amazing experience.
I too might get a "you belong" tattoo someday; those words have really made an impact.
It's good you're back home and get to relax for a while...though of course you'll all have to come back to Portland, OR as soon as possible. :]

Salty Eyes seems to be very popular in the world of body art, I'm not surprised though.
I want a tattoo of Matt Whalen carrying a TV that says "Still Matt Whalen" on it. Well maybe just a t-shirt with the aforementioned design, that would be a little less drastic.
I love those designs though.
Okay, so The Matches tatoos put the paramore one I have on my foot to shame *frowny* I think it's time to find a better tattoo shop. Though, I probably should have realized that after the first time.
I really want a third one to the point where the place that I want it is actually tingly with excitment and lust for a needle to poke at it relentlessly for a good hour or two. I've wanted something "matches-ish" since my first one..but I've always been to much of a puss because it would have to be giant..and well..i don't trust anyone to actually draw my idea and then burn it into my skin. I don't want it if it won't be totally perfect. *bigger frowny*

I recently got a tattoo of the Henry face in May on my ankle. However, looking at these, I'm slightly less proud of mine. Those are amazing. I still want my picture up, though. :]
yes those tattoos are amazing and mine doesnt add up to the amazing drawings of some of those. but im so proud of my tattoo and i would never trade it in for anything.
i have a tattoo on my wrist and i see that thing every day and every once and a while i will like look in the mirror and just have a glimpse of my matches tattoo and just smile because it means so much to me. and i love it.

I would be a little wary of getting a Matches tattoo, or any band tattoo for that matter. It's that whole thing of permanence that you mentioned. I would really have to make sure it's something I would want FOREVER. I would hate to wake up one day and say WTF was I thinking...
