Latent Introduction/ Righting the Impotent Pianist

By the way, I am Shawn, and I write and play in a band called the Matches. I am both reticent and curious toward keeping a public correspondence such as this one. Let's call my daily posts to come an experiment of sorts. I can scarcely imagine what I might divulge worthy of your reading, yet perhaps the point of this all is to share a subtle conciousness with the like of mind... I hold breath.
In other updates, I am pleased to announce that recently in New Orleans, I found a proper piano for the famed and unfortunate 46 foot tall pianist.

I feel you have perhaps a little more to share via 'blogging' than most. Thus something might perhaps be worthy of our reading, you are in a fantabulous band afterall.

You posted this at 11:11, so make yourself a wish! I am excited for this little glimpse into the mind of a member of my favorite band.

I just got off from a nine hour shift at Denny's (silly graveyard), so I apologize that I am not very prolific at the moment.

Rock on.

I must say, I'm rather surprised there're still no comments on your posts. Hm. I caught you guys in Melbourne and the gig was awesome, apart from the guy who accidentally shoved the mic at you.

Anyway, on to the post, interesting piano you've got there. ;) And yep, I'll be sure to keep tuning in to this blog.

the impotent pianist should get his pituitary gland checked. the discovery channel told me that's what causes unnatural heights in people, and also if it goes unchecked, he might die a painful death in a hospital bed where his feet are hanging off the end.

Hey Shawn! This is very cool, your blog I mean, and I am pretty excited to read your writing everyday. Needless to say, I am a huge Matches fan, and I found this in the message boards of the website. Anyone who can write the lyrics that you do, is extremely talented to say the least, which is why as an aspiring writer, I can't wait to read your work. Check out my blog when you have the chance, and by the way, Bamboozle was fuckin amazing!!!

How is this new effort of your's working out so far? I wonder what would make a writer/musician/artist such as yourself with surely more committments than time permits already devote energy towards connecting with strangers? I'm intrigued.

Hi Shawn!. I really like what you said, "perhaps the point of this all is to share a subtle conciousness with the like of mind." in your most recent post. Maybe this is the point of the internet in general or just life. Perhaps all we can hope for is a subtle consciousness with like minded people. I mean if not that then what is really the point of posting this or of hacing our own blogs? Keep up the amazing creative work you keep putting out

that picture's pretty much brilliant. really cool. it's sort of refreshing that it's awesome and ~*~artistic~* without being one of those, you know, generic artsy photos with 'tarded angles and stupid lighting, but of course it's you so it isn't going to be generic because you're just amazing like that.

I think that was a run on sentence but I can't be arsed to fix it, sorry.

hi. i feel as though your newfound blog needs a comment. for one thing i had no idea you were such a good artist... let alone the artist responsible for the artwork in voices. (amazing album by the way) i always thought that little bunnyman kind of reflected the melancholy and sense of impending doom i got from the album. I've become somewhat of an artfreak and started taking classes and i seriously do not think that i could be that original and/or creative anytime soon. How do you do it?

You know, after having read and responded to many entries at this point. I find it interesting that you have chosen this guise of correspondance.

What you have really created is a venue where you share your thoughts with the masses, and then the masses share their thoughts... about your thoughts... with the rest of the mass.

Tellingly impersonal.
